Put a person in the right situation, and he’ll do things so extreme that you wouldn’t think possible. The same idea applies to a person in a financial fix. If in desperate need for substantial amounts of cash, he’ll do almost anything to get his hands on it, like rob a bank.
Not everybody has the guts for such an act though, but there are instances that they’ll do of “lesser” gravity – just what exactly am I talking about? Well I’m referring to going to a payday loan lender offering ridiculous rates and terms. The fact is, in general they do really do have a payback period averaging round a month or so.

This is because it’s a form of unsecured loan, meaning that it doesn’t require collateral for the approval of the cash to be extended to you, but bear this in mind: in some sense, it uses your paycheck as the “security”, coz you’ll be paying of the money you’ve borrowed by the time you receive your pay, basically.
Another thing that you should know is that the rates charged the payday loan lender will be very high, ranging anywhere from 10% to 30% - some even known to go above this. Better believe it, coz they do exist, which kinda makes them no different from the finger-breaking loan sharks.
Only difference is they use more subtle methods of getting you to pay back what you owe them. But hey, if that’s the only way for you to get money, and you’ve ruled out all other options, then here’s something else to always remember when out on the prowl for a payday loan lender: the rates and terms they offer.
Just because they all deal the same type of business, doesn’t mean they offer the same deals. What you need to do is get as many quotes as you can from different creditors, and do a comparison. Narrow out the one that you feel (and know) is offering the best deals; you most definitely wouldn’t want to pay more than what you actually have to, given the short time frame you’re given here.
Having said that, you might be wondering where can you find a good source to borrow from, right? Taken that I am, I’ll tell you: the internet. We all know that there are plenty of online payday loan lenders to choose from here. And since there are bountiful amounts of them, they happen to offer better interest rates and terms as compared to the loans offered by the local financial institutions – why? They do so as to compete with one another; they don’t want potential clients of theirs patronizing their competitors, so they “lower the bar” to attract more customers.
Same standard operating procedure kicks in here though, which is to gather as many quotes as you can, compare each one, and pick the best one (as I’ve said earlier). Last thing for you to know is there are many illegitimate creditors out there – just because they’ve been labeled as “payday loan lender”, doesn’t mean they can be trusted.
So before you finally do decide to avail a certain group’s services, do a background check on them first.
